Nylint Late Construction - Page 5
#445 - Construction Set  -  1973-76
This neat set is made up of the #460 Dump Truck, a trailer, and a #2080 Boom Dozer (introduced in
1972). The Nylint catalogs first showed this set in a weird combination of colors in 1972. From 1973
through 1976 it was always shown in yellow. It is not known if the other colors were ever actually used.
The Boom Dozer's winch was extremely simple. By moving the cantilever bar up or down you raised
or lowered the tow hook. Not a very long range of motion!
The blade was raised and lowered by the rubber
tipped lever in the cockpit.
A pretty nice wheel treatment for a construction
trailer!
#2060 - Husky Trencher  -  1974-75
Another all-time favorite of the late period construction toys is the #2060 Trencher. It was always
called the #2060 "Husky" Trencher in the catalogs - notwithstanding this original box.
The Trencher gave a realistic feel to digging
those irrigation or utility trenches in the sand box.
The rear lift handle allowed for easy operation
and depth control on the trenching project.
