This bluish-purple color was only available for one year. It made for a very handsome toy - Nylint's
first Econoline Van. There was no seat or steering wheel.

Then in 1964 the color of the #5800 Econoline Van was changed to this pinkish tone. A change

The nation was beginning to embrace the sport of car racing and Nylint was willing to take advantage
of this interest by producing a Race Team set, complete with a large plastic Mobilgas race car.
