In 1968 the American Oil logos were discontinued but the wrecker truck continued in production
unchanged. In place of the American Oil decal was the scripted
"Nylint."
JC Penneys Wrecker  -  1966(?)
At sometime during the production run of the #6000 Wrecker, Nylint produced a special run of these
trucks for the JC Penneys stores. These are quite rare and finding a nice one is tough.
Would you be comforted by seeing a Penneys
wrecker truck pull up to help you?
A 1966 JC Penneys catalog depicts this truck. It
may have been available other years as well.
#6200 - Kennels Truck  -  1963-65
This may have been Nylint's all-time biggest Econoline seller. You sure see a lot of them around. Early
versions, such as the truck shown here had a round decal.
#6200 - Kennels Truck  -  1966-69
Nylint introduced the stylized 'N' decal in 1966 which places this second version Kennels truck in the
later years of production.
Although advertised as a learning aid, the blue band was actually a pilfering deterrent. When
packaged in the new Nylint display boxes, the kennels portion of the truck was completely exposed.
The blue ribbon was wrapped around the cage to discourage little hands from lifting the lid and
pilfering a puppy or two.
