I don't remember red mail boxes, but this one looks pretty authentic so they must have been around.
At only 4" tall, it fits right in with the U.S. Mail trucks. Please note collection times.

At 7" tall this blue mail box is definitely out of scale with the trucks, but it certainly fits the period. It is
likely both mail boxes were made by Western Stamping although only this one has the box to prove it.
