About Doepke Rolybirds
Rolybird Photo Gallery
There's a good chance that this
young fellow is piloting an early
prototype of the Rolybird.

It has no decals on the rudder, nor
does it have the correct blade.

Also, the light colored outline on
the rudder did not appear in later
ads.

He doesn't seem to care about
those details as he counts himself
very lucky to be one of the first to
drive such a modern and exciting
new pedal toy.

This item appeared in
Popular
Science
magazine in June of 1955.
This ad is undated and its source is
unknown. Someone hand wrote the
Doepke Model Number (#2022) on
the left edge.
This ad appeared in the August,
1955 issue of
Parent's magazine,
and then again in the May, 1956
issue of
Toys and Novelties.
